As many of you know, just over half of the Arts Club’s annual operating costs are covered by ticket sales, challenging us to raise funds through other means, including individual donations. This year, Maria Logan, one of our most loyal patrons, has made an offer to match all new and increased gifts to the Arts Club up to $35,000! Artistic Managing Director Bill Millerd extended his gratitude on behalf of the company: “Maria’s donation has a special resonance as I value her contribution not only to the Arts Club but to the community at large to whom she has given so much.”
Maria’s commitment to the Arts Club is extraordinary. In addition to the summer matching campaign, Maria has made a separate contribution to our volunteer program, making her total contribution $50,000! Not only does she enthusiastically attend every single one of our opening nights, but she also has been a donor for over 10 years and a member of our Artistic Director’s Circle since 2003. “I chose to support the Arts Club because I have always been such a big fan,” says Logan. “When my husband was alive, we always went to the shows—starting at the Arts Club’s Seymour Street Stage. It is very important to me to keep our important cultural institutions, like the Arts Club, alive and thriving.”
