Spelling Bee 100th Performance!

Delicious cake from Anna's Cake House made everyone H-A-P-P-Y!

Yesterday’s matinee marked the 100th performance of our production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and we had some very special guest spellers help us out.  Max Reimer, Artistic Managing Director for the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company, Michael Shamata, director of the show and Artistic Director of the Belfry Theatre in Victoria, Bard on the Beach’s Artistic Director Christopher Gaze, and our own Artistic Managing Director Bill Millerd!  It was so much fun to have the folks usually behind the scenes out in the spotlight.  Thanks for being such excellent sports!

The Artistic Directors fight over the trophy! From left Max Reimer, Michael Shamata, Christopher Gaze, and Bill Millerd. Too bad Bill spelled bankruptcy with an S!

Congratulations to the cast and crew on 100 performances!  On to 200?
