Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story costume designer Rebekka Sorensen has been hard at work over the last few months researching, designing, and building costumes that capture not only the style and feeling of the ’50s, but also the persona of legends like Buddy, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens who are portrayed in the show.

You might remember Rebekka’s work from Arts Club productions like The School for Scandal and Disney’s Beauty & The Beast. And if you didn’t get a chance to see her work in those productions, you’re in for a treat!
By looking at photos and album covers, watching old live performance footage, and checking out fashion magazines from that time, Rebekka has designed costumes that will transport us all to another era. Check out some her sketches below!
